It has always been a tough part of game to play and come up in the ranking. Needless to say, Cricket is one game, wherein millions of spectators and crazies watch and would be eager to know if a country of their choice and like, would be listed in the top ranks of the ICC ODI Cricket Ratings. The mighty Kangaroos were dominating the 1st position in this ranking table for a very long period. But gone are the days where any team that plays against the mighty OZ would be beaten so easily. The Australian line is broken down and today, the situation is so worst that no one thinks if Aussies could maintain the top place in the table, rather, if they would win a match atleast.
Recently the Aussies were packed and rolled in the matches against the South Africa. Both the test series and the One day internationals saw poor performance of each and every player on the field from Australia. It is not only the poor show of these players, but also appreciable is the performance of the SA’s. The same is the case with the highly potent, strong Indians. They are competent with SA to clinch the top position.
In the going 5 match series against Sri Lanka, India has already won 4 games with a huge target set to the host. Now, it is a chance for Indian team to make history in Cricket. If they could win the 5th and final ODI match of the Wealthsurance series to be held at the Premadasa Stadium on Sunday, then India would be seen at Rank 1 in the ODI Ranking list. India’s tremendous performance during the recent past under the captaincy of M.S. Dhoni has always attracted its huge Indian fans for every ball in the game. Sachin, Viru, Gambhir, Yuvi, Raina, Dhoni, Irfan, Bajji are a few to be listed who have paced India. Lets wait and watch the series.
