If you think that the real Slum dog millionaire is only Rehman, the hot spot and Oscar nominated musician, then it is not true. Cricket players who had come from the remote villages, playing in county clubs, and then expressing talents playing for their country, is now highly remunerated at the IPL. The amount they receive as their pay for IPL matches is something that can never be believed.

This year’s IPL auction that was held and concluded yesterday saw huge figures under each player. Let’s have a walk through to know which player has attracted huge amounts by which team. The most awaited suspense of the day was, if there would be any player, who would be offered more than what India’s MS Dhoni earned a whopping $1.5 million last year? And YES is the answer. Within few minutes of that auction, it was the English players who fetched the big deal to become the most expensive players for the T20 series. England’s Kevin Pietersen (KP) and Andrew Flintoff clocked $1.55 million. Though KP was initially reserved for $1.35 million, Bangalore Royal Challenger’s Vijay Mallya took him for a whopping $1.55 million. Knowing that fact that KP would be available to play only for three weeks, Mallya doesn’t want to give room for such considerations thereby losing him. Other top cricketers in the list who were bid for huge amounts were J P Duminy for Mumbai Indians team (950,000), T Henderson for Team Jaipur (650,000) and M Mortaza for Kolkata Knight Riders (600,000).
